An incident unfolded on Skyline Drive in Braintree, where three armed suspects robbed a food delivery driver last night. The driver, who placed the 911 call shortly after the encounter around 10 p.m., was found unharmed by responding officers, according to a social media post from the Braintree Police Department.
The police search led to the discovery of the victim’s abandoned Nissan Maxima, which was found running with the front passenger door open and personal belongings scattered nearby. The vehicle was located a short distance from the Skyline Apartments management office. Additional support was requested, and Quincy officers responded with a K-9 unit, while the Massachusetts State Police and their Air Wing provided assistance. Despite an extensive search, the suspects remain at large.
Braintree's drone unit along with Quincy drones were promptly launched in an effort to track down the perpetrators, and Plymouth County B.C.I. stepped in to help collect evidence. The victim's vehicle was towed to the Braintree Police station for a more thorough investigation. Descriptions of the three suspects have been provided by the Braintree Police: one white male with red hair in a gray hoodie, a light-skinned male with a possible accent wearing a gray/black Nike Tech hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask, and a dark-skinned male sporting a dark hoodie.
Currently, no arrests have been made in relation to the robbery as the police department appeals to the public for assistance, urging anyone with information, cell phone video, or home surveillance footage that might aid in the identification and apprehension of the suspects, to come forward and contact the police department, through a call to Braintree Police Department Detective’s Voicemail or via a submission on their official website.
