The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a $419,714 project to remove and replace pavement markings along a 12-mile stretch of I-20 in Caddo Parish. The work will take place between the Texas state line and I-220 in Shreveport.
Set to start on October 22, these nighttime operations will have crews busy from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to minimize disruptions for the commuting crowds. According to the DOTD, motorists should watch for these operation during their nightly travel.
Due to the nighttime schedule of the work, daytime traffic disruptions are expected to be minimal. The project timeline is subject to weather and other factors, with completion currently anticipated in early 2026.
