Dallas's own Campisi's Restaurants has stepped up once again to show support for local heroes during the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department's (DFR) Annual Awards Banquet. Acknowledging the commitment of firefighters who remain on call and can't join in the festivities, Campisi ensured these on-duty emergency responders were honored with a special dinner. According to the City of Dallas, Battalion Chiefs played the role of servers, personally collecting and delivering meals to the various stations yesterday.
Having taken place the day before, the media were invited to witness this show of support at the Campisi’s Lovers Lane location. Battalion Chiefs were seen picking up the prepared meals, a physical testament to the community's appreciation of their daily sacrifices. "Thanks to Campisi's continued generosity, we are able to ensure that all our members, including those on duty, are still a part of our yearly celebration," Chief of Dallas Fire-Rescue, Justin Ball, expressed, per the City of Dallas.
