In a recent announcement, Chapin High School Principal Ragen Chappell heralded the 25th anniversary of the school and invited the El Paso community to an open house showcasing its specialized academic programs. According to El Paso ISD, the event titled "Program Night" is scheduled for October 22, providing an opportunity for prospective students and families to learn about the Pre-Engineering Magnet Program and P-TECH for Computer Science that Chapin offers.
"Our campus is more than a place to learn; it’s a home where students are supported, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential," Chappell said, as per El Paso ISD, underscoring the school's approach to education, which includes not only academic excellence but also hands-on learning and extracurricular engagement. Celebrating a quarter-century of educational service, Chapin High School is recognized as a pillar of the community, where countless number of students have been nurtured over the years, and impressively, 17 alumni have taken up the mantle as staff members. Clearly, the impact of the school's ethos is echoing beyond its walls.
Emphasizing the school's approach to student success, Chappell pointed out that Chapin's offerings are designed to arm students with critical thinking abilities, real-world problem-solving skills, as well as the technical and leadership competencies required in today's competitive college and career landscapes.
