Thieves have once again left a neighborhood rattled, this time in Charlestown, where an unidentified individual has taken to pilfering Amazon packages. According to the Boston Police Department, the thefts occurred late on a Sunday night, precisely at 11:43 PM on September 14. A white male suspect in his 20s, sporting a white Bruins hat and wearing the colors of the Celtics, remains at large after committing the larceny on Elm Street. Residents are being asked to step forward with any information.
The Boston Police are turning to the community for support, releasing images of the suspect in hopes that someone might recognize him. The suspect was last seen in a white T-shirt layered under a Celtics jersey, a combination that may stick in the mind of a sharp observer. In a statement obtained by the Boston Police Department's official website, detectives from District A-1—which includes Downtown, Charlestown, Beacon Hill, Chinatown, and the North End—are piecing together the events of that night. They're looking to the eyes and ears of the neighborhood for help.
Witnesses or those with relevant footage are being encouraged to come forward with any information they might have. The Boston Police Department's website, in a direct appeal to the public, notes, "Photos and videos related to this investigation may also be submitted anonymously." The local crime stoppers line and a texting service offer additional avenues for tips, both aiming to protect the anonymity of those who provide tips.
