
The California Highway Patrol Dublin Area is urgently seeking witnesses to a fatal incident that took place yesterday, along Interstate 580 near Pleasanton. A pedestrian, who has yet to be identified, was tragically killed after entering traffic lanes and being struck by a vehicle, as per reports provided by the CHP.
Details shared by the CHP Dublin's Facebook post state the first calls to the CHP Golden Gate Communications Center came in at approximately 8:59 PM. These reports indicated a pedestrian was down on the eastbound lanes of the freeway, just east of Foothill Road. The initial collision is thought to have occurred just a minute earlier. It is believed that after the first impact, the individual was further struck by multiple passing vehicles. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
