The search for missing 6-month-old Nnakai Pratt of Clayton County has taken a serious turn as his father, Antonio Pearce, is now considered a suspect. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Clayton County police were called to Valley Hill Road in Riverdale around 8:18 a.m. Sunday after Pearce reported that his son had been taken from a car seat during a robbery and kidnapping.
As the investigation progressed, Pearce’s arrest on unrelated charges—including marijuana distribution and driving with a suspended license—along with inconsistencies in his account and the absence of supporting evidence, led detectives to name him a suspect. The Clayton County Police Department stated that inconsistencies and physical evidence suggested possible foul play, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.
Despite extensive searches involving bloodhounds, cadaver dogs, and drones, Nnakai remains missing. According to 11Alive, the search has included assistance from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Piedmont Region K-9 Search and Rescue team, but no leads have been found. Police have also reviewed surveillance footage and expanded search efforts in nearby neighborhoods.
Authorities clarified that Nnakai’s twin brother was never missing and remains with his mother, who is not considered a suspect. The investigation continues, with officials urging anyone with information to call 911 or the Clayton County Police Department at 770-477-3550. Pearce remains in custody without bond as the search for his son continues.
