Collierville Fire & Rescue announced that their recruit class has completed its fifth week of training, which has shifted to more practical firefighting skills. According to the Collierville Fire & Rescue's Facebook post, recruits have been practicing with fire extinguishers, foam suppression, live fires, and liquid fire control.
Training also included roof cuts for vertical ventilation and other hands-on exercises to prepare recruits for various fire scenarios.
The week’s highlight was live fire evolutions hosted by the Germantown Fire Department, providing recruits with controlled, real-world experience. Collierville Fire & Rescue thanked Germantown Fire Department for providing the training facility and support for the live fire exercises.
