Dallas is set to confront the shadow of domestic violence with an event that shines a light on resources and support for survivors. Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Willis, the Office of Housing and Community Empowerment, and Human Resources are hosting the Domestic Violence Awareness Resource Fair tomorrow. Community members are invited to City Hall Plaza & Lobby from 11 AM to 2 PM to join the cause, be present, and offer their solidarity to those who have endured, as per the City of Dallas.
The fair promises to provide not only critical information but also a space to collectively progress toward a safer Dallas. Attendees can expect to enjoy complimentary lunch from food trucks, participate in raffles every half hour, and experience a live DJ set meant to keep spirits high. The event will also feature a photo booth and giveaways, aiming to encourage participants to visibly show support by wearing purple. Furthermore, the event will offer an opportunity for attendees to connect directly with community partners and organizations actively engaged in the fight against domestic violence.
Adding to the allure, the fair is backed by various local sponsors, including prominent names such as Medical City Healthcare, Midtown Dallas Inc., the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Symphony, Mary Kay, and others.
