Early Saturday morning, a fatal shooting occurred in Overland, Missouri, following an attempted break-in. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers from District 1 responded to the 3800 block of Tesson Ct. after receiving reports of gunfire.
Police stated that a resident confronted two individuals who were breaking into vehicles. When one of the suspects displayed a firearm, the armed citizen fired, fatally striking one suspect. The deceased was identified as 18-year-old Kenyon Williams of Overland, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The second suspect fled and remains at large.
A firearm was recovered at the location. The armed citizen was not injured during the incident. The SLMPD Homicide Division continues to investigate the case.
