The Destrehan community is preparing to celebrate the reopening of the renovated East Bank Bridge Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Thursday, October 30 at 5:00 p.m. Local officials and residents will gather at the park, located at 13244 River Road between Fields 1 and 2.
According to a statement on the St. Charles Parish Government’s website, the East Bank Bridge Park now features two new turfed fields and a renovated basketball court. New pickleball and tennis courts have also been added, and the parking lot has been repaved to accommodate more visitors participating in various recreational activities.
The project marks the completion of a full renovation of East Bank Bridge Park, made possible through a partnership between the St. Charles Parish Government and Valero. Valero contributed $500,000 toward the project, supporting the redevelopment of the community space.
