A 16-year-old male has been arrested in Destrehan following a confrontation that led to a shooting near the railroad tracks on River Oaks Drive. The suspect faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and three counts of attempted armed robbery, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office's Facebook post.
Authorities reported that the altercation involved an 18-year-old male and three other 16-year-olds. During the incident, the suspect allegedly shot the 18-year-old in the arm. The victim was treated at a hospital and later released.
