A two-car crash on GA-400 in Forsyth County between Mary Alice Park Road and Bald Ridge Marina Road prompted an emergency response on Saturday. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the collision involved a Ford F-150 and a Kia SUV, with the Kia overturning after being rear-ended. Both occupants of the Kia sustained serious head injuries and were transported to a hospital, with a medical helicopter assisting at the scene.

The driver of the Ford F-150 suffered minor injuries and declined hospital treatment. At the time, no charges were filed, but 11Alive later reported that the driver, identified as Gavin Schmutzer, was arrested and charged with DUI and following too closely, with additional charges pending.

The victims have not been publicly identified. One remains in very critical condition in the ICU, while the other is stable but seriously injured. The section of GA-400 where the crash occurred was temporarily closed as authorities continued their investigation.
