Early voting is in full swing in Douglas County, setting the stage for residents to make their voices heard in the Public Service Commission General Election for Districts 2 and 3, as well as several municipal elections within the cities of Douglasville, Villa Rica, and Austell. Voters registered in the aforementioned locations have the convenience of casting their ballots ahead of Election Day at various early voting sites across the county, as detailed in an announcement published by the Douglas County.
With options to vote from 9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday until October 31, 2025, including an additional opportunity for Saturday voting on October 25 at the Douglas County Courthouse, early voters can choose from multiple locations such as Deer Lick Park Recreation Center and Dog River Library to cast their ballots, the courthouse being located at 8700 Hospital Drive in Douglasville; also, the recreation center and library at 2105 Mack Road and 6100 Highway 5 respectively, both in Douglasville offer their own stations for voters seeking to avoid the rush on Election Day, according to the Douglas County's press release.
On Election Day, voters must go to their assigned precincts to cast their ballots. This is especially important for Austell residents in Douglas County, who must vote at the specific precinct listed in the notice mailed to them. To avoid confusion, voters should visit the My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov to confirm their polling location and make sure their votes count.
As early voting continues and the October 31 deadline approaches, Douglas County voters are showing strong civic spirit. Rather than slowing down, many are motivated by the nearing deadline and the importance of the choices they’ll make—decisions that will shape their community and leadership ahead of Election Day in November.
