In a bid to spruce up the city, the government of El Paso, Texas, has announced a community clean-up drive, encouraging residents to dispose of their household waste by making use of temporary dumpsters scattered across various districts. The initiative, casting its net wide across the region, has designated different disposal sites such as Enchanted Hills Park for District 1 and the pooled parking lot at 1500 Hawkins for District 3, with additional locations listed for the convenience of other districts.
After the official social media post from the City of El Paso, members of the community are reaching out in a collective effort that not only targets waste reduction but also fosters a sense of collective responsibility, the temporary dumpsters are available in their respective districts to make the process as accessible as possible, the locations include 3100 Jefferson Ave. for District 2 and the southwest corner of Montwood & Rich Beem for District 5 among others.
Items that are non-eligible for the temporary dumpsters can find their way to Citizen Collection Stations.
