Residents of Carver County and visitors alike, get ready to bundle up for a magical winter event. Carver County Parks has announced on social media an enchanting "Candlelit Night at Baylor" to be held at Baylor Regional Park. Those interested can join the festivities on two separate dates: Friday, February 20, or Saturday, February 28, 2026, with the event kicking off at 5 p.m. and winding down by 8:30 p.m.
According to a Facebook post by Carver County Parks, the night will be illuminated with candlelit ski trails, where visitors, bundled snugly against the winter chill, can glide. For those preferring to trek, illuminated snowshoe paths await exploration. An added adventure includes a hayride to the Eagle Lake Observatory, where the Minnesota Astronomical Society will be ready to guide stargazers through the celestial wonders.
Continuing the night's frosty fun, participants can test their balance on kicksleds. For those looking to thaw out, hot cocoa, cider, and s’mores will be available by the fire, ensuring everyone has a chance to warm their hands and spirits.
Admission for the event is priced at $12 with equipment rental, or $7 for those bringing their own gear. Embracing the community spirit, the event promises to be an all-ages affair, with skiing recommended for ages six and up and children aged two and under able to join for free. Early registration is encouraged, so gather your family and friends and secure your spot for what promises to be a night brimming with winter wonder, said Carver County Parks in their announcement.
