The Missouri Department of Transportation warns drivers in Clay County to expect delays as pavement work begins on I-435. Both northbound and southbound lanes from 48th Street to Parvin Road will have intermittent closures from October 27 through October 28, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. Traffic will be reduced to one through lane during these times.
MoDOT reminds motorists to stay alert and reduce speed when approaching and driving through work zones. Construction zones can vary from long-term projects to short-term repairs or debris removal. The work depends on weather conditions, and any changes could affect the schedule of lane closures.
