San Francisco's music scene is in for a treat as Puscifer gears up to bring "The Normal Isn't Tour" to the Golden Gate Theatre on May 11, 2026. In an announcement by Broadway SF on social media, the band will give its Bay Area fans an exclusive live experience of their unique blend of performance art and experimental music. For those eager to secure their spot at what's expected to be a night packed with aural and visual spectacle, member first access will begin on Thursday at 10 AM PT, followed by a presale (with the code ROCK) at noon. Tickets are going on sale to the general public the next day, October 24, at 10 am PT, as noted by BroadwaySF's Instagram post.
Consisting of a triad of Maynard James Keenan, Mat Mitchell, and Carina Round, Puscifer is not just about music; they are a confluence of sonic and visual storytelling, renowned for their immersive live performances and a strong online presence highlighted by their engaging content. The band has not only graced major festivals like Coachella and curated their own event, Sessanta, but also made an impression on television, boasting appearances on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "The Late Show," according to Broadway SF.
With the release of their upcoming album "Normal Isn’t" set for February 6, Puscifer is taking a plunge into "darker, more guitar-driven territory" as they channel the fusion of goth and punk, which Keenan describes as part of his early musical roots. "It’s the place where goth meets punk. It’s where I came from," Keenan told Revolver Magazine. Co-producer Mat Mitchell emphasizes their approach, adding, "We got rid of the guard rails and made the music more aggressive," reflecting Puscifer's intent to innovate and push their sound boundaries.
The inception of "Normal Isn’t" took place in varied locations, including Arizona, Los Angeles, and during their Sessanta V2.0 tour, resulting in a diverse tracklist as reported by Revolver Magazine; fans got a preview of the new album's direction with the live video for "Self Evident," which was recorded during performances at L.A.’s Exchange venue last August. Alongside the core trio, the album features contributions from artists such as Greg Edwards, Gunnar Olsen, Sarah Jones, and the legendary Tony Levin, indicating a collaborative effort that remains and a testament to the adaptive and expansive nature of the band's music, fans of the band and newcomers alike will soon be able to witness how Puscifer continues to evolve with their North American tour starting March 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
