Five individuals found themselves in handcuffs following a drug bust operation in Fall River. The City of Fall River Police Department revealed on social media that their C.A.S.T. Detectives worked in conjunction with the Emergency Services Unit to execute two search warrants at residences on John Street and Union Street late last Monday night.
At the Union Street residence, the team detained several persons and discovered a mix of illegal substances and items, including roughly 13.12 grams of crack cocaine, 3.5 oxycodone pills, 26 Suboxone strips, a digital scale, and a BB gun. Three individuals – Shana Taylor, 38; Ann Marie Sullivan, 42; and Krystal Brownell, 26 – were taken into custody, with Taylor being charged for the controlled substances and the latter two on outstanding warrants, according to a post from the City of Fall River Police Department's Facebook page.
The operation did not conclude there; detectives moved less than a mile to John Street, where they encountered more illicit drugs. This location yielded approximately 89 glassine baggies of suspected fentanyl and a trifling amount of crack cocaine. In addition to the drugs, they found another Glock-style BB gun. Jessica Harper, 48, received a summons for fentanyl and cocaine possession, while Plino Lopez, 43, and James Mercer, 45, were apprehended on active warrants.
Taylor now faces charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance and Possession of a Class B Substance, with two counts to her name. "These coordinated efforts resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of a significant amount of illegal narcotics," states the City of Fall River Police Department brief.
