The Gilroy Police Department has reported the arrest of four teenagers in a violent incident that began near Mt. Madonna High School in September. Details shared via social media by the Gilroy Police Department yesterday confirmed the group's connection to a robbery and assault involving a firearm.

A fight that spilled over from the high school on September 30, around 2:00 PM, led to the events in question. With the scene escalating to Broadway Street, officers discovered a 17-year-old male injured in the roadway soon after, having received a pistol-whipping, according to the police department's Instagram post. Near the victim was the gun believed to be used in the attack.

Initial arrests included two 15-year-olds, one of whom was apprehended at the scene and suspected of the shooting that caused the 17-year-old's injuries. The KRON4 News stated that he was arrested at the scene and subsequently booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a firearm.

Following the continuation of the investigation, two additional teens were arrested on Monday. The search of their homes led to the recovery of the firearm involved in the assault, as well as other weapons and narcotics.
