For families looking for a creative outing, Pullen Park is offering a free event called "Pages at Pullen: Stories and Crafts" which promises to mix the joy of storytelling with the hands-on fun of crafting. On October 17, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., kids and their caregivers are invited to gather at the kids' stage near the swing set in the park for the unique experience, as per the announcement from the City of Raleigh's website.
The morning will kick off with the animated reading of a children’s book, bringing characters and tales to life for the young and young at heart, after the story there's an opportunity for the children to engage in a creative session, where they can make and take home their very own mini book. Whether they prefer to fill it with doodles or the beginnings of their own epic stories, the event serves as a perfect platform for budding artists and writers to showcase their imagination.
