Fulton County is gearing up to show some love for its customer service professionals during the annual National Customer Service Week. The week, which runs from next Monday through next Friday, is not just any seven days on the calendar—it was officially recognized by U.S. Congress back in '92 as a time to shine a spotlight on those whose everyday efforts make the world of commerce and public service a little less grating for us all.
According to a recent announcement by Fulton County, the whole shindig will kick off with a range of activities designed to say "thanks" in the loudest, proudest way possible. From pop-up events to trivia games with prizes on the line, it's clear that Fulton County isn't shying away from showing their customer service pros some well-deserved recognition. “Our customer service professionals are the heart and the backbone of this organization,” said Fulton County Manager Dick Anderson. And who'd argue with that?
Come next Friday, the Annual Customer Service Legends Luncheon will roll out the red carpet for the employees who've gone above and beyond in their roles. It's an invite-only affair, a gesture of gratitude for those who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to excellence. Customer Service Division Director Brigitte Bailey put it this way: "Customer Service Week provides us with a dedicated opportunity to express our profound gratitude and recognize their tireless efforts in building strong customer relationships and fostering loyalty."
The Board of Commissioners for Fulton County first tipped their hat to National Customer Service Week back in 2017. Their inclusion into the national event was an audible nod towards their dedication to top-notch service for their citizens. And the theme for this year's celebration, 'Mission Possible', subtly acknowledges the challenges met and conquered by these hard-working folks. The Fulton County Customer Service Division has shown itself to be a versatile beast – a hub for information, handling multilingual queries, resolving complaints, and even providing notary services when it's called for.
