A concrete pavement rehabilitation project on Garfield Avenue, between Railroad Street and Nelson Avenue, is set to begin on Monday, October 6, according to the City of Duluth’s announcement. The work aims to improve the roadway surface while keeping traffic open in both directions throughout the project.
City officials confirmed that two-way vehicular traffic will remain in place, with lane shifts as needed to accommodate construction activity. The project is expected to continue through the end of October.
Access to local businesses along Garfield Avenue will remain open during construction, the city noted, and drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time or plan alternate routes when possible.
The city stated that the improvements are part of its ongoing infrastructure maintenance efforts to provide safer and smoother travel for motorists.
