Five men were arrested on pandering charges during a joint operation by the GBI’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit and the Henry County Police Department. The effort, called “Johns and Bonds,” focused on reducing demand in the commercial sex trade, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Those arrested included a bartender, a jailer, a U.S. Customs agent, a teacher, and another man whose occupation was not disclosed. All five were booked into the Henry County Jail last Thursday and have since bonded out, as reported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The operation resulted in the recovery of a woman who was given immediate assistance. The Henry County Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are asking the public to report any information related to human trafficking through the Georgia Bureau of Investigation tip line at 1-800-597-TIPS (8477), the online tip portal, or the See Something, Send Something app. Updates on the case and the suspects’ legal proceedings are expected.
