Folsom Public Library is set to turn into a gamer’s paradise on November 22 for its Games Day, a full-day event welcoming everyone from board game lovers to jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts.

Starting at 11 a.m., kids and adults alike can enjoy a life-sized version of Candyland in the library’s Youth Wing, a fun twist on the classic game for all ages. Meanwhile, the Library Meeting Room will host a Board Game & Puzzle Swap, where visitors can trade old favorites for new ones and discover fresh games to enjoy, as stated on the city's website.

From 1 to 2 p.m., puzzle enthusiasts can put their skills to the test at the Puzzle Palooza Competition, where teams of two to four will race against time and each other to complete a 500-piece jigsaw. With limited space available, participants are encouraged to register in advance by calling 916-461-6148 to secure their spot in this fast-paced, corner-piece-hunting challenge. In the late afternoon, the focus shifts from puzzles to Pokémon, with a card trading session taking place from 3 to 4 p.m.

Details for all events are available on the Folsom City website, including how to participate or just swing by to see the gaming action unfold.
