The Gilroy Police Department is currently investigating a suspicious death following the discovery of a body found near a creek behind businesses at East Sixth Street and Camino Arroyo. According to a social media post from the department, the call about the body came in at around 4:15 PM on Tuesday, whereupon officers promptly confirmed the individual's deceased state on arrival at the scene.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is still pending, and the identity of the individual has not yet been released. The police have not announced any suspects or leads at this time.
