
Governor Mike Kehoe has appointed Bryan Nickell to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District. According to the Office of the Governor, Nickell has extensive legal experience, including work in medical malpractice defense and banking law.
Nickell fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Mary Sheffield. His career began in commercial litigation and education law, supported by degrees from Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Missouri School of Law. In addition to his legal work, Nickell serves as attorney and secretary for the Sikeston R-6 School Board and is a member of the Sikeston Jaycees.
Before becoming a partner at Blanton, Nickell, Collins, Douglas, Hanschen, and Peters LLC, Nickell served as a clerk for the late Honorable Stanley A. Grimm of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.
