State Rep. Chris Jeter from Fishers highlighted the community's commitment to student safety by stating, "Our community has always prioritized the well-being of students,"—an ethos reflected in the grant's aim to equip educators with necessary safety maintenance tools, as mentioned on the Indiana House Republicans website. Area schools on the receiving end of these grants include Eastern Hancock County Community School Corp. with $28,096, Greenfield-Central Community Schools with $92,500, Mt.
