In a heartwarming community outreach initiative, the Hazelwood Fire Department paid a visit to Kidz Biz Preparatory, bridging the gap between first responders and the youngest of our society. The department's social media page shared the encounter, offering a glimpse into a day filled with awe and smiles as the firefighters unveiled the mysteries of their profession to eager young minds.
According to their Facebook post, firefighter gear and trucks turned into tools of wonder and education as the department's members, clad in their turnout gear, demonstrated their fire-fighting apparatus. "We had a great time showing the kids our fire truck and letting them see what a firefighter looks like in their turnout gear," the post read. Clearly, this was more than just a fun day—it was an opportunity to foster early respect and understanding for the service of firefighters.
