The Hollywood Police Department has continued its search for a missing senior, Patricia Haizlip, who was last seen on the occasion of her 70th birthday. According to Local 10 News, Haizlip has been missing since last Wednesday, and concerns for her safety are heightened due to her being diagnosed with schizophrenia. The search has intensified, with police urging the community to provide any information that could assist in locating her.
Haizlip, who turned 70 last Wednesday, was reportedly seen for the last time in a neon yellow shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers near the 2100 block of Lincoln Street. Surveillance footage from her apartment complex captured the moment she left, marking the last confirmed sighting. Her sister, Mary Palacios, expresses her fears for Patricia's safety, admitting, "The biggest fear is that something’s going to happen to her, that somebody’s going to hurt her, and we don’t want anybody to hurt her," in a statement obtained by Local 10 News. “She’s not the kind of person that’s going to hurt anybody. She herself is very loving, caring, a God loving person, so pray for her and we’re praying for her.”
In an effort to widen the search, the Hollywood Police Department posted an alert on their Facebook page, providing a description and last known location for the missing woman. They have pleaded for public assistance, indicating that due to her medical condition, Patricia may be particularly vulnerable and in need of additional care or support.
The authorities are making all efforts to find Haizlip and ensure her return to safety. Anyone who has information regarding Patricia Haizlip’s whereabouts, is encouraged to contact the Hollywood Police at 954-764-HELP (4357).
