In a routine patrol turned arrest, Horizon City Police Department officers conducted a welfare check on a vehicle in the wee hours of October 19, leading to the apprehension of a man with an outstanding felony warrant. The vehicle, found at a public park located at 14565 Claret Cup, Horizon City, Texas, after hours, prompted the initial investigation. According to a social media post by the Horizon City Police Department, the driver was identified as Juan Quiroz.
Following a records inquiry, the officers discovered Quiroz was wanted on a felony warrant issued by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office for "Deceptive Business Practices with a Previous Conviction." It appears to clearly reflect an ongoing commitment by local law enforcement to vigilantly track down and securely process individuals with outstanding warrants. Quiroz was taken into custody without incident and later handed over to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, with his bond being set at $2,500.
