The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has reported the arrest of a suspect linked to a vehicle theft that occurred in El Paso County, Texas. In a post shared on their official Facebook page, Sheriff Oscar Ugarte announced that 33-year-old Horizon City resident, Christian "Pinguino" Hernandez, was detained in relation to the theft of a gold Chevrolet Tahoe.
The incident initially unfolded on Sunday, when deputies responded to a call at around 11:46 a.m. regarding the vehicle, which had been reported stolen from the 300 block of Buffalo Drive. Following a tip received by the Sheriff's Office on Monday, an investigation led to the identification of Hernandez as a suspect. Although he was originally taken into custody on unrelated warrants, Hernandez now faces charges for Theft of Property (Theft of Vehicle), as detailed by El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte on a social media post.
The stolen vehicle's retrieval adds to the tally of successful recoveries by the local law enforcement, reflecting their ongoing commitment to property crimes. After his arrest, Hernandez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, where he was held without bond.
