A 59-year-old man from House Springs lost his life after being struck by a vehicle. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) responded to the scene, where they pronounced the man dead.
The accident happened at around 6:35 a.m., as reported by KSDK. The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was hit by an oncoming 2017 Ford Escape while attempting to cross the westbound lanes of the road. The impact forced closure of three right lanes on westbound Route 30, which were not reopened until approximately 8:30 a.m. as crews worked the scene of the crash.
