An east side Indianapolis CVS Pharmacy became the scene of a violent disturbance earlier this month, when 46-year-old Terry Rowe Jr. opened fire, resulting in injuries to two women and himself. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department apprehended Rowe on multiple preliminary charges, including aggravated battery, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, and dealing in methamphetamine. Rowe was taken into custody following the incident at the drug store located at 4401 E. 10th St. in the Linwood Square shopping center, as reported by FOX59.

The confrontation, which police believe stemmed from a 'prescription issue,' led to a prompt response from law enforcement after several emergency calls regarding a man threatening CVS employees. Subsequently, an additional spate of 911 communications indicated that shots had been fired. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found two women, both in stable condition after sustaining gunshot wounds, and Rowe who "voluntarily admitted" to discharging his firearm during the confrontation, as WISH-TV detailed.

Beyond the battery-related charges, Rowe is facing counts of intimidation and the possession of a firearm with a removed serial number. The captured firearm was handed over to the police by the suspect himself, who was detained, questioned, and later taken into custody, information gleaned from WTHR. All individuals injured in the shooting are expected to make a recovery.
