Last Saturday, Kennedale was shaken by the sound of gunfire—a disturbance that would tragically escalate into a fatal confrontation. According to a social media post by the Kennedale Police Department, police officers responded to a shooting in progress on the 1400 block of Gilman Road at approximately 1:30 am, where they discovered a 44-year-old victim with gunshot wounds. The victim was rapidly transported to the Medical Center of Arlington, but later succumbed to their injuries.
The suspect, as per the official statement, did not linger to be held accountable by the arriving law enforcement. Instead, he chose to quickly flee the scene. Though the identity of the victim remains withheld, the police have named Jackie Lee Allsbrook as a person of interest and possible suspect in the shooting. Allsbrook is a white male, about 5'9", weighing 130lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last spotted attired in a brown woodland-style camouflage shirt or jacket coupled with black shorts and black shoes.
As the investigation unfolds, the Kennedale Police Department has actively sought the community's assistance. They encourage anyone harboring information related to the incident to step forward and communicate with Detective Delvin Starling at 817-985-2166 or via email at [email protected]. The Department urges engagement, signaling an openness to clues that could perhaps offer a semblance of justice in a moment steeped with loss.
