On October 4, the venue pays homage to Hispanic heritage with its fourth annual celebration. This event, free to the public, is set to kick off at 5 p.m. and will feature a lively assortment of music, food, and cultural activities. A collaboration with the Mayor’s Arlington Latino Advisory Council, the festivities are geared to not only entertain but also immerse attendees in Hispanic traditions.
Filling Levitt Pavilion with vibrant sounds and flavors, the lineup for Saturday is primed to get guests on their feet. Get ready to quickly start dancing with "Salsa at the Gardens" at the prime time of 5 p.m., followed by a performance from the Sam Houston High School Ballet Folklórico at 5:50 p.m. Music too continues with Latin Express at 7 p.m., before paving the way for the night's headliner, Little Joe y La Familia, slated for 8:30 p.m. A five-time Grammy Award winner, Little Joe Hernandez is set to deliver the "Brown Sound," a blend of norteño music with country, blues, and rock elements that constitute the Tejano genre. Known as the “King of the Brown Sound,” Little Joe Hernandez and his iconic band helped pioneer the Tejano sound, according to the City of Arlington's announcement.
The practical elements of attending are just as important as the lineup. Attendees are advised to arrive early to claim that perfect spot on the lawn for viewing. Free parking is available at several nearby locations, including City of Arlington lots, Downtown Arlington spaces, and additional spots at 101 Center, Pinnacle Corp. on Abram Street, and the Tarrant County Subcourthouse. Seating extends beyond the lawn with areas on the City Hall steps and brick walls flanking the sides of the grassy area.
