A fatal shooting in Cincinnati's Mt. Airy neighborhood has claimed the life of a man early Sunday morning. As reported by LOCAL12, Cincinnati police responded to a call at the 5000 block of Hawaiian Terrace around 4 a.m., where they discovered a man with a gunshot wound.
Despite the life-saving attempts by police and the Cincinnati Fire crews, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. An ensuing investigation by the authorities has been complicated by a language barrier in the heavily Hispanic locale. However, witnesses are said to be cooperating, as detailed by WLWT. Police have identified the victim as a 29-year-old Hispanic man but have yet to name a suspect in the case.
The incident has prompted Cincinnati police to urge the public to provide any information that might lead to the apprehension and conviction of the responsible parties. Anonymous tips can be directed to CrimeStoppers at (513) 352-3040, a request echoed in the coverage by WLWT.
