A shooting in Pittsburgh's Northview Heights neighborhood has left a man in critical, but stable condition after sustaining an abdominal gunshot wound last night. The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Chicago Street, with emergency responders rushing to the scene following a one-round ShotSpotter alert, WPXI reported.
Upon arrival, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials found the victim in the back of a house and administered a chest seal to slow the bleeding. He was then transported to a local hospital, and the victim, whose identity has not been released, was rushed into surgery, as per details from WTAE. Surveillance footage from the area is being reviewed by police as part of the investigation into the shooting.
No suspects have been named, nor arrests made in connection with the shooting as of early this morning.
