A shooting occurred in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood on the morning of October 10. The Atlanta Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to 546 Rockwell St SW at approximately 4:47 a.m. in response to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound who was alert, conscious, and breathing. Grady EMS provided medical assistance, and the individual was transported to a local hospital.
The preliminary investigation, as revealed on the official Atlanta Police Department website, suggests that the incident occurred as the victim was walking south on Humphries St. He claimed that three males wearing ski masks approached to deliberately shoot him. The motives behind this violent act, as well as the identities of the assailants, remain unclear as investigators continue to piece together the events that led up to the shooting.
