Early on the morning of Saturday last week, Atlanta police and emergency responders arrived at the scene of a shooting in the southwest part of the city. According to the Atlanta Police Department release, officers were called around 8:12 a.m. to Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard SW, where they found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim was alert and conscious when located.
He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the man did not provide details about where the shooting took place, complicating the investigation. The Atlanta Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit is handling the case and continues to gather evidence.
Authorities stated that the investigation remains active and that information may be updated as new details emerge.
