The Broward Sheriff’s Office reported a related standoff in Fort Lauderdale near Northwest 28th Avenue, according to WSVN. Deputies and SWAT teams were on the scene for hours in connection to the case.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported as a trauma alert to Broward Health Medical Center, according to Broward County Fire Rescue. The extent of his injuries has not been confirmed.
