
A recent tragic event unfolded in Marietta where a 36-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured in a hit-and-run incident. Cobb County police have made an arrest in the case, where on Monday evening, Roubins Francois was hit by a vehicle while he was crossing Terrell Mill Road, "outside a marked crosswalk," according to a report by FOX 5 Atlanta. The driver of a gray 2014 Ford Escape, who later fled the scene, has been identified as 28-year-old Kuntae Green, also from Marietta.
Authorities located Green at his residence and arrested him, slapping multiple charges including "felony hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license, and a center turn lane violation," states FOX 5 Atlanta; the collision happened at approximately 7:12 p.m. near the intersection of Terrell Mill Road and Bentley Road, resulting in life-threatening injuries to Francois who was later pronounced dead at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. The incident, now being thoroughly investigated requires anyone with additional insights to reach out to the Cobb County Police Department's STEP Unit.
