
The Marietta Theatre Company will present "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" during the holiday season in Marietta. The musical comedy, adapted from the 1988 film starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine, will run from November 6 to November 15 at Marietta’s Theatre in the Square. The production follows two con men whose competing schemes to swindle a wealthy heiress on the French Riviera, according to the City of Marietta.
The production is directed by Maxim Gukhman, with JoAnna Johnson overseeing the music and Paige McCormick in charge of choreography. It involves a 14-person cast and is the largest project the Marietta Theatre Company has undertaken so far, including 15 local artists, technicians, and designers. Tickets are available online, with prices ranging from $27.44 to $51.94.
Director Maxim Gukhman and choreographer Paige McCormick, who are married and first met on a cruise ship, are collaborating in their current roles for the first time on this Marietta Theatre Company production. Real-life partners Chance Harbin and Michael Stewart are serving as producer and stage manager.
The show is rated PG-13 for adult language and themes. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, November 6 and 13, and Fridays, November 7 and 14. Saturdays, November 8 and 15, have two shows at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and the Sunday matinee is at 2:00 p.m. on November 9.
