The dedication ceremony, led by Mayor Steve Tumlin and the City Council, is set for Wednesday, October 29, at 1 p.m. The event will take place at the notable intersection of Roswell Street and Victory Drive.
The pathway will bear the name of Rev. Nelson L. Price in recognition of his decades of service as pastor of Roswell Street Baptist Church. His lasting influence continues to shape the Marietta community, reflecting a legacy of steadfast dedication. The designated portion of Roswell Street, stretching from Marietta Square to Cobb Parkway, will serve as the site of this tribute. According to an official city announcement, despite this honorary designation, the official name and address of Roswell Street will not change.
Members of the City Council, city staff, and local residents are expected to attend the ceremony, representing the collective spirit of the Marietta community. The event will honor Rev. Nelson L. Price, whose impact extended beyond his pastoral work, and celebrate the enduring values of dedication and service that he embodied.
