Memphis police are investigating after a man was found shot to death near an elementary school early this morning. According to Action News 5, officers responded to Ridgeway Road after receiving a call about a man down, where they discovered a male victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local Memphis reported that the incident occurred near Winridge Elementary School. Police have not released the victim’s identity or details about what led to the shooting.
WREG stated that officers responded around 7:14 a.m. and found the victim behind the school on Ridgeway Road.
