On a recent Friday afternoon in Memphis, a shooting incident occurred that has now prompted a manhunt for two suspects. According to a report from the Memphis Police Department, the violent encounter took place around 2:25 p.m. on September 26, in the 300 block of West Mitchell Road. Police say that the confrontation began when a male suspect mumbled some words towards the victim before brandishing a firearm and firing several shots at him, which resulted in the victim being struck in the leg.
The victim, in what can only be seen as an act of self-defense, returned fire. Caught on video recordings, the assailant is a Black male who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black-and-white shoes at the time of the assault. Following the altercation, the gunman fled on foot and was seen entering a white Subaru Outback, which was then driven away from the scene by a second suspect whose identity remains unknown to authorities.
The vehicle associated with the suspects, a white 2010-2014 Subaru Outback, is distinguishable by a missing red reflector on its left rear bumper and an unknown temporary tag. The Memphis Police Department is seeking information from the public that could assist them in locating the individuals involved. They urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274).
