A reported aggravated assault at a Citgo gas station on Knight Arnold Road in Memphis became the center of a police investigation after a victim was subjected to theft and gunfire, the Memphis Police Department reported on its official website. On the evening of Saturday, October 11, around 8:43 p.m., a person was robbed of $10 by unknown assailants at 5935 Knight Arnold Road, as MPD detailed in a press release.
After the initial theft, the victim, who has not been identified publicly, took off in pursuit of the suspects but evidently lost track of them near the crime scene, there was an ensuing attempt to find the suspects which turned perilous when the victim was shot at multiple times—fortunately, although the victim's vehicle was hit, they escaped injury. In a statement released by the Memphis Police Department, only a single suspect has been captured on available video footage, leaving investigators with limited leads in the case.
Memphis Police are calling for public assistance to close this case and seek justice. "Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274)," urges the official report. The MPD's website doesn't offer more details on the suspects, nor vehicle descriptions or specific leads pointing to their apprehension.
