Residents of Miami should prepare for another warm and humid Wednesday with temperatures expected to hit the high 80s. The warmth is only intensified by the high humidity, pushing "feels-like" numbers well into the 90s. Unfortunately, there will be minimal breeze or rain to offer respite from the heat, according to a forecast obtained by NBC 6 Miami.
Relief appears on the horizon, as humidity is set to slightly decrease moving into Thursday, with a welcomed breeze forecasted for the weekend. Rain chances are purported to climb back up around 30% for the weekend, but it's not expected to be a complete washout. "Today: Mostly sunny. Rain: 10%. High: 88°," NBC 6 Miami predicts for the remainder of Wednesday.
The breeze is projected to return in earnest on Thursday with more consistent winds expected over the weekend, according to a detailed forecast issued by the National Weather Service. They forecast "a high near 85. East wind 5 to 10 mph" for today and by the weekend, the breeze will pick up, making for windier conditions with northeast winds potentially reaching up to 30 mph. Northeast winds are to continuously increase, especially by Friday with gusts as high as 29 mph cited.
Shower chances also appear to be creeping back into the picture. The National Weather Service anticipates a "20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm" on Saturday, with similar patterns extending into the early part of the following week. Sunday's forecast continues this trend, offering a "20 percent chance of showers after 2pm" while maintaining a mostly sunny outlook.
