Milton is rolling out its annual Carvin' in Crabapple event at the Broadwell Pavilion next Saturday. From 4 to 7 p.m. next Saturday, families are invited to bring their pumpkins and let their imaginations run wild with safe cutting and painting tools provided by the City. According to an announcement by the City of Milton, attendees are encouraged to bring containers or gallon-sized ziplock bags if they plan to snatch up those pumpkin seeds for roasting.
Beyond the art of pumpkin carving, the Milton Police Department is serving up some family-friendly Halloween thrills with its Trunk-or-Treat right across from the pavilion on Broadwell Road. As reported by the City of Milton, kids dressed in their Halloween best will have a chance to win prizes in a costume contest and, of course, collect heaps of candy. For those looking for a break from the sweetness overload, local food trucks will be serving up dinner and dessert options.
But that's not the only draw. The city statement also highlighted an opportunity to catch some football on a special viewing screen – a perfect backdrop for those inclined to enjoy a sportier side of Halloween. And if you want a keepsake that's a tad more personal than a jack o’ lantern, a new addition this year includes a caricature artist ready to sketch a memorable family portrait.
This event is powered by community spirit and a few select local sponsors. A shout-out was given to the top-level sponsors Reid Casey Real Estate Team and the Painted Horse Winery by the City of Milton, showing appreciation for their significant contributions. Additional kudos went to fellow sponsors Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Stable Orthodontics for their support.
Kids can also bounce off their energy on giant inflatables or dive into Halloween-themed arts and crafts. This cornucopia of activities ensures that every little ghost and goblin can have a hauntingly good time at the Carvin' in Crabapple event, making it more than just pumpkin carving but a true community celebration.
