
A tragic hit-and-run incident took place in Milwaukee, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old pedestrian. The collision happened around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the intersection of North 76th Street and Good Hope Road. According to WISN, the unnamed individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
As the Milwaukee police continue to piece together the events, they are actively searching to identify the driver responsible for the fatality. The vehicle, described only as an "unknown vehicle," was reportedly speeding south on North 76th Street when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing at the 7200 block. In an effort to quickly solve the case, anyone with information has been urged to come forward and contact Milwaukee police at 414-935-7360 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Details of the suspect vehicle remain scarce, and the driver's identification is still pending as the authorities have yet to release more information on the matter. According to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, this incident adds to a troubling year for Milwaukee traffic-related fatalities, with police data indicating that 48 individuals have died from injuries sustained in traffic crashes as of October 9.
